If you live near or on the USC campus, there are many resources available to you to help you quit smoking.
Through the USC Pharmacy, you can make appointments for one-on-one consultations with quit experts who can help you create an individualized smoking cessation plan. These plans include strategies for coping with withdrawal symptoms and recommendations for nicotine replacement medications, which may be covered by your insurance. For appointments at the Health Sciences Campus, call (323) 442-5882. For appointments at the University Park Campus, call (213) 821-6100.
The USC Occupational Therapy Department also offers a Lifestyle Redesign Smoking Cessation Program. This program includes meetings for 10 weeks in either 1-hour group sessions, or 30-minute private sessions. In these sessions, you can partner with your occupational therapist to develop a smoking cessation plan specific to you and new daily routines that include healthy habits to help you stop smoking. Visit their website to get more details. Additional online resources through USC can be found here.
